It all started with the Krazy Klan. Releasing their first album in 1995, Krazy Klan (Anybody Killa, Lavel), released the now rare Frustrations. Back at this state of their careers they went by the handles of Jaymo (ABK) and Jayho. The cover art for this album was drawn none other than by local rapper Mr Bones (Jamie Madrox, Twiztid). Appearing on the underground market at around 1998, Blaze (then Psycho-C) and Skrapz (then Krazie) released their first attempt at horrorcore. Their efforts were titled '2 Krazie Devils' and featued the likes of Detroit legends the House Of Krazees. The album may have never hit shelves but it was a stepping stone in the history of Detroit rap to come. Following this, in 1999, the KK crew released their second and final album developMENTAL. A classic album under todays standards. But unfortunately it didn't sell well at the time and this contributed to the group to head off and do solo projects, while still remaining close friends and always staying true to their roots in the Krazy Klan. In 2000, when everyone was worrying about Y2K, Jaymo was releasing his first solo attempt. His new handle was now 'Native Funk', and the album was entitled 'Rain From The Sun'. And this started a lone, but original style of the hip hop genre. Jaymo pioneered Native American rap. Although noone else has done this, he was the first to experiement into his roots and produce and album of this nature. As many look back and see how great this album was, it too fell short of sales and put Jaymo on the thinking block. At the same time, Blaze had already made a mark for himself at Psychopathic Records, home of locals ICP, and Twiztid. It was Twiztid that brought Big-Blaze to the label in '99 when they released Mostastless, featuring Blaze on the track "Whatthefuck!?", and later on Hound Dogs. It was in 2000 that Blaze released his first self titled EP. Sticking to a gimmick of being a "dead gangsta" blaze donned the name 'Blaze Ya Dead Homie'. Although sounding comical, this album was very strong in gangsta rap roots, and is Blaze's best album to date. Twiztid Juggalo's wanna know who that gangsta ninja is on Mostasteless! Well....... it's none other than.... "BLAZE YA DEAD HOMIE" A true to life gangsta who was killed in a gang related shooting on Feb. 14, 1989. He was buried in the Sedmont cemetery where he remained for 13 days until a so called Halloween prank left his grave empty of a corpse! A corpse that needed a home! Psychopathic Records is the kind of place that welcomes the dead and criminally insane! Seeing how Blaze is both, he quickly became our dead homie! Featured on the "Mostasteless - Re-Issue" in the trax "Whatthefuck?" and "Hound Dogs" which made him the sixth member of the "Psychopathic Riders - Dumpin" LP (Soon to be released!) and also his debut, self titled album.... "BLAZE YA DEAD HOMIE" Blaze intends to stay! Posted on:Twiztid.com Blaze recieved a positive reaction, but with the growing of internet file sharing, profits on sales couldn't be good. This caused Psychopathic Records to terminate Blaze's contract. Following Blaze's leave of the label, friends/ label mates Twiztid, inerviened. The duo forced PSY. to renew his contract as an active artist on the Psychopathic roster. With the tentative release of Blaze's second release "One Less G In The Hood", Blaze realized his old time friend, Jaymo, needed some help. So he lended him a hand. Jaymo now donned the name of Anybody Killa and came on stage with silver mime paint. The mime thing didn't fly so he started putting on a misfits-esqe skull style face paint. This flew better with the fans. ABK played the part of a hype-man and just backed up verses for Blaze and got the crowd going. Anything is better than nothing, right? They both travelled together on Twiztid's Rock The Dead Tour. And this played well with getting the name out. Blaze finally released One Less G in 2001. This album was a little more rock orientated and sold MUCH better on the market, but was nothing close to the calibre of his first EP. While a pretty big let down, it also had some great tracks such as Hood Rats, and Str8 Outta Detroit. It was finally released more recently however that Blaze would be collaberating with Anybody Killa in a joint group called Drive-By. Although many think this is new, it has actually been in the thinking process since 1999! The original plan was to have both rap with Lavel doing the production, but it seems plans have changed over time and Twiztid will be producing. But who knows, nothings final till it gets recorded. Anybody Killa is currently working on recording his debut album on PSY. called "Hatchet Warrior" which was originally titled "Foo Dang". Originally it has been described as "lethal hardcore hoodlum shit" but more recently it has been announced that it will have the same feel that Native Funk had, and he will be bringing back the Native American style. Shaggy 2 Dope (ICP) has also been announced as to have produced songs for the album as he too has Native American background. Blaze is also coming out with a new album. This album is titled Colton Grundy: The Undying. No other information at this time is available as to the nature of this release, just that its gonna blow away his past releases!
